Tuck a moonlit Venetian canal onto your bookshelf. Romantic Venice is a DIY wooden book nook diorama from Rolife's Book Nook & Wonderland series – a narrow canal-side alley lined with shopfronts, with a golden gondola drifting past on painted water, lit softly from within.

Build the scene piece by piece: a striped-awning Venetian Gondola Shop and a Coffee house sit beneath the golden-eagle-topped Gran Teatro La Fenice sign, while the Mask of Venice shop – its arched orange door and window full of tiny carnival masks – anchors the opposite corner beneath a white balustraded balcony. A miniature gondola, dressed with painted flowers, floats down the reflective blue canal toward a small arched bridge, and the exterior side panel carries a laser-engraved skyline of the Rialto Bridge with a gondolier gliding beneath it.
