FAQs
What is a book nook?
A book nook is a miniature 3D scene built to slot between the books on your shelf, like a little window into another world. Most of ours light up with a built-in LED.
Do the kits come with batteries?
No. Most kits use 2 x AAA batteries, and a few are powered by a USB Type-C cable instead. Neither is included. Each product page says which your kit needs.
Do I need glue or tools?
Most of our kits need no glue, and many need no tools either. Check the product page for your kit. A pair of tweezers and a craft knife do make the fiddly bits easier.
How hard are they to build?
It depends on the kit. Piece counts range from about 110 to 500, and bigger kits take longer. If it's your first one, have a look at our Beginner-Friendly Kits, which all have fewer than 200 pieces.
What age are they suitable for?
The kits are recommended for ages 14 and over. They contain small parts and aren't suitable for children under 3.
Can I keep the dust off my finished build?
Yes. Several kits include a clear dust cover, and for the others we sell an acrylic dust cover separately. Check its dimensions against your kit first.
How much is delivery, and how long does it take?
We ship within the UK only. Orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 business days. Standard delivery is £3.99 (£7.99 for parcels of 1.6kg and over), arriving in 3–5 business days. It's free on orders of £60 or more, so two kits ship free. Express delivery is £6.99 and arrives in 1–2 business days. Free local collection in Farnham is available by arrangement. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
Can I return a kit?
Yes. You have 14 days from receiving your order to request a return, as long as the kit is unused and in its original packaging. If anything arrives faulty or damaged, we'll cover the return postage. See our Refund Policy.
